Entry Level Landscape Designer - Laguna Beach Studio
SWA Laguna Beach is seeking talented, design-oriented candidates in landscape architecture. New graduates are welcome to apply.
Working with us in this role, you may be responsible for:
- Design
- 3D modeling
- Rendering
- Producing presentation graphics and client presentations
- Assisting in preparation of construction drawings/documents, sets
- Attending and participating in meetings
- Work with senior designers on a collaborative team
Requirements:
- A professional undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited program in landscape architecture, planning, or urban design
The ideal candidate has:
- 0-3 years professional experience in a design office
- Strong design skills
- Strong graphics and 3D modeling skills
- Strong problem solving, critical thinking skills, analysis
- Attention to detail and organization
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Effective time management skills
- Leadership qualities and ability to take initiative; self-motivation
- Ability to take direction
- Positive attitude
- Sense of accountability
- Experience from a previous internship
- Technical understanding or landscape architecture site development elements
- Basic knowledge of plant materials
- Proficiency in:
- AutoCAD 2018+
- Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Microsoft Office
- 3D modeling in Rhino &/or SketchUp
- Revit
- Additional experience with the following is desirable:
- Preparing construction drawings & documents
- Lumion
- Grasshopper
- ArcMap/ArcGIS
- Bluebeam Revu
- Hand sketching
